HEATH – Gov. George Voinovich has vowed to support the Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority in its quest to convey additional careers and substantial-tech corporations to the Central Ohio Aerospace and Know-how Middle.

“I want (this) to turn out to be not only the aerospace funds of Ohio, but the aerospace funds of the planet,” Voinovich on Friday instructed a team of about 500 Rockwell Global Corp. officials, staff members and state, federal and local leaders at the commitment ceremony for the Rockwell Direction Restore Centre.

The occasion capped a successful 9-month transition of the former Newark Air Pressure Base wokloads to non-public contractors Rockwell and Wyle Laboratories.
